Hale’iwa Beach House

Located in the charming surf town of Hale’iwa, on O’ahu’s legendary North Shore, this laid back Hawaiian restaurant, with a bright, airy interior, floor-to-ceiling windows and peerless sunset vistas, has fast become a favorite indoor and outdoor dining destination for seafood-loving locals and tourists.

Opened in 2016, in the building formally occupied by Jameson’s By the Sea, Hale’iwa Beach House’s fish-forward menu celebrates the ocean and its bounty of ingredients, whilst also offering a good selection of steaks, burgers, soups and salads. Known for its fresh market fish and creative interpretation of the classics, the restaurant lists many well known and traditional dishes on both its lunch and dinner menus. These include - but are not limited to - the staple Hawaiian Poke Bowl, Beach House Loco Moco, Garlic Shrimp, Island Po Boy and a mouth-watering New England Clam Chowder - hailed by more than a few people here as the very best on the island!

Amongst our favorite appetizers, not mentioned above, are Kalua Pork Grilled Cheese, Tuna Tartare and Spicy Ahi Wontons, and the entrees we find impossible to resist are Grilled Mahi Mahi, Lobster & Shrimp Red Thai Curry, and Paniolo Ribeye (topped with roasted bone marrow herb butter). That said, since everything is made from fresh, local ingredients and prepared with the same passion and dedication to detail, we’d happily recommend the entire menu! And make sure you leave room for dessert; the house-made doughnuts - dipped in buttermilk glaze and topped with Fruity Pebbles - are simply delicious!

In addition to its celebrated cuisine, Hale’iwa Beach House is also notable for its signature cocktails and wide selection of local craft beers on draft. Open for lunch daily (11:00 - 15:00), and for dinner Thursday through Sunday (17:00 - 20:00), the restaurant’s air of casual elegance and friendly, efficient staff make it an ideal venue for everything from a lunchtime catch-up with friends to a formal dinner date…
