An intimate candlelit restaurant at the prestigious Royal Hawaiian hotel, Azure’s elegant setting is matched only by its exquisitely presented food and impeccable service.

Designed by executive chef Shaymus Alwin, the restaurant’s five course dinner menu (with a choice for each course) utilises fresh, high quality ingredients sourced from local farmers, fisherman and distilleries. Although the exact dishes are subject to change, depending on availability and seasonality, the menu always aims to highlight the delicate flavors of the ocean, along with the finest cuts of meat.

Guests can expect a salad or light appetizer to start, followed by creatively-plated second and third courses comprising the best of the islands’ bounteous ingredient offer. The fourth course - what one might call the main or the entrée - includes the option of two dishes from the land and two from the sea, alongside a vegetarian alternative. Examples from the current menu include the classic Trio of Seafood, Lobster with Corn and Swiss Chard Crème and Barley Aged Steak, Potato Au Gratin and Onion Foie Gras Jus. All plates are presented with unparalleled artistry and expert servers and sommeliers are on hand to offer the perfect wine pairings to accent the flavors of specific dishes.

Whilst the indoor dining space at Azure is tastefully decorated with ambient lighting, pristine table settings and a sophisticated atmosphere, most people - particularly those visiting the restaurant for the first time - opt for a table on the terrace, just a few steps from the sand. Beautiful at anytime of the evening, but truly mesmerising at sunset, the views from this vantage point are the perfect accompaniment to Azure’s superior Hawaiian cuisine.
