Located in the center of historic Hale’iwa, this casual pizzeria, with its warm Aloha vibes and commitment to service, is fast becoming a favorite food stop for both locals and visitors

Founded by Michelle Smith in 2019, and named for her pizza-loving son Jaxon who has autism, the business has been owned and operated by Isaiah, Gabriel, and Elisha Danzik since 2023. Yet, despite the change of hands, the focus remains firmly on delivering delicious vegan high-protein sourdough pizza (plus Greek gyros, salads, calzones and cannoli) from top-quality local ingredients.

Every Jax pizza is baked to perfection in a Hawaiian Kiawe wood fired oven, creating a sweet and smoky flavor that’s unique to the islands. There’s an extensive choice of toppings ranging from traditional Italian staples like Margarita, Prosciutto and Caprese (Italian tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, balsamic), to contemporary twists on the classic Hawaiian such as the Sweet Hawaiian BBQ (barbecue sauce, kālua pork, pineapple), the Hot Hawaiian (Italian tomatoes, shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, pineapple, red peppers, sriracha, jalapeños), and the house special Jax Paradise (olive oil, garlic, shredded mozzarella, bacon, pineapple, red onion, goat’s cheese, arugula, balsamic).

Brought up - in their words - to love Jesus and each other, the Danzik siblings underpin everything they do at Jax with a Christian ethos of serving others and building a community. The restaurant offers discounts to military personal (20% on Mondays, 10% the rest of the week) and Kama’āina (10% every day), as well as partnering with the Autism Society of Hawai’i through it’s family Tuesday deals and at community events throughout the year. Staff are super-friendly and service fast and efficient - just order at the register, pick you seat, inside or out, and wait for your delicious food to arrive!
